Aaron Pickering

Aaron Pickering is a facilitator. He received an undergraduate degree in Communications from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth, earned a minor in political science by completing a practicum in campaign management at The George Washington University in the summer of 2005 and graduated from The George Washington University's Graduate School of Political Management with a Master of Professional Studies degree in Public Relations and Public Affairs in May 2009. As an undergrad, he taught introductory journalism courses to high school students and developed a love for teaching and communications. Over the next few years, Aaron worked in television and radio production, from managing public relations to designing marketing campaigns and original programming. He then worked for Lockheed Martin Corporation as a Proposal Analyst, helping to win federal contracts by advising on marketing best practices and ensuring compliance to government requirements. Currently, Aaron is the Senior Communications Specialist for Equal Justice Works (formerly the National Association for Public Interest Law) responsible for designing and implementing public affairs and public relations campaigns.
